Largest RORO Carrier Moves Vessels out of Storage
In a sign of mid-pandemic recovery, the largest RORO carrier in the world is putting more of its vessels into operation.
In the first half of 2020, Wallenius Wilhelmsen took 16 of its vessels out of rotation and relied more on charters to maintain capacity. Now the carrier is placing up to nine of those vessels back into operation. "Plans are in place to reactivate these vessels during the first quarter of the year," according to their announcement on January 6th.
