Shipping machinery is our speciality. The bigger, the better!
When it comes to shipping machinery, not all services are created equal. With our wide network of ground transporters, dismantling facilities, and ocean carriers, we offer customized solutions with competitive prices. RORO.com is the best way to ship agricultural, construction, mining, or other heavy machinery.
There are two main methods of shipping machinery; RORO and container shipping.
RORO Shipping
RORO stands for Roll On Roll Off, which describes how machines are loaded on and off of RORO vessels. Picture a massive, floating parking garage with multiple levels dedicated to different size cargo. Your machine is delivered directly to the sea port, and driven on and off the vessel using built-in heavy duty ramps.

There are many advantages to shipping machinery on RORO vessels. Machines can be shipped as is with no dismantling required, so they can start generating a return on your investment immediately upon arrival. RORO services are more focused on trade lanes (such as the US East Coast to Caribbean), so the transit times are typically faster with RORO.
We offer instant quotes, schedules and online bookings for shipping machinery on RORO vessels.
Container Shipping
Shipping machinery in a container can be less costly than RORO, depending on the size of the machine and the destination of your shipment. Containers come in two standard sizes; 20-foot and 40-foot long. Machines may need to be dismantled to be loaded within the space of a shipping container. We offer all of the services necessary, including ground transportation, dismantling, loading, and container ocean freight.
No matter where your machine is located across the US or Canada, we can find the most cost-effective routing through our extensive network of dismantling partners. We dismantle machinery professionally, so you can have the machines reassembled safely and securely upon arrival. If you are considering shipping dismantled machinery in a container, we recommend first contacting a service that can reassemble your machine at your shipmentâs destination.
Some machines are simply too large to fit into shipping containers. Whenever possible, we offer both options so you can make the best decision for your machinery shipment.
